Mom Said Cartoons Were Bad

Single-panel comics for your next steering committee, awareness module or training deck. Because friends don't send friends risk matrices.

Here's a thing that keeps happening. You walk a real risk into a room of smart, busy people. You bring the framework, the citation, the control reference. Everyone nods. Nothing changes.

Then somebody puts a cartoon on the screen and the room finally gets it.

That's just how attention works. A single-panel comic puts the whole distance between the promise and the reality into one image, and the reader arrives at the point by themselves instead of being dragged there. Awareness training has known this for years and mostly answered it with another slide carrying four bullets. Not what anyone meant by "less is more".

So here are nine panels, free to use. Put one in the deck for your next steering committee. Drop one into an awareness module, or the front of a training session, or the slide where you can feel the room drifting. They're drawn to work twice: once for anyone who has ever clicked Accept to make a box go away, and once more for the people who have to write the sentence inside the box.

What they say about your data

What they say about the hardware

What the machine says about itself

One Last Thing

Post them, put them in a deck, use them in a training session, print one and stick it on the wall by the kettle. Keep the signature on and don't sell them. That's the whole license.
